Nathalie Desrosiers

Specialized Dressage trainer certified by Equestrian Canada

Nathalie Desrosiers is an athlete that has now been present on the National and International circuits of Quebec for 15 years. She has had the opportunity of evolving throughout different levels thanks to all the different horses she has ridden that have taught her a lot. Nathalie fell in love with dressage thanks to her very special French Warmblood mare – Formule 1. She began her dressage career with her, evolving in Level 1, and finishing as Seasonal Champion. She then was lucky to have been entrusted with a very talented, but feisty ride – Puccini. They represented their region with success up to Level 3, finishing as the Reserve Champion of 2009. In 2010, Nathalie decided to invest in her future and acquired Quidam des Roses, a talented 4 year-old from a Quebecois breeding farm. She invested much time, effort and determination into this youngster, and showed him up to Level 3. In 2017, Nathalie was entrusted with an extraordinary 5 year-old French Warmblood directly imported from France – Dickens Chatelier. In only 18 months, the pair achieved Prix St-Georges during the 2018 season with marks around 60-65%.

Nathalie is always looking into improving her skills as an athlete and a coach and organizes clinics with the Olympic rider – Jacqueline Brooks.

Nathalie is a devoted trainer, evolving on the Quebec circuit since 2006. She is housed at the Rodimax farm in Mirabel since 2007 as a boarder, and since 2015 as the barn manager and tenant. Nathalie has a very wide range of students of all levels, going from beginner and recreational riders, to advanced competitive riders. Her key values are the evolution of the pair horse-rider into performance whilst enjoying every second of it.

The Dressage des Roses team has proudly represented its region at the Quebec Equestrian Games every year for the last 15 consecutive years. Nathalie equally trains para equestrian riders and participates in those events with her students and the Canadian para equestrian team. Dressage des Roses also hosts clinics with the famous head coach of Para Equestrian Canada - Clive Milkins.

In 2019, Nathalie successfully completed her specialized coach program in Dressage. She became an instructor in 2009, and a competition coach in 2011. It’s with much pride that she continues to perfect and evolve in the different levels of competition, and horsemanship.

Suzanne Prévost

Suzanne is Nathalie’s mother. They founded the Dressage des Roses together. Suzanne adores animals even since she was a child. She took care of many different animals – big and small – with all the same amount of love and care. For Suzanne – the animal’s well-being is the highest priority. Suzanne used to own a clothes boutique for many years and has an incredible sense of all that is fashionable. She is responsible for the Dressage des Roses clothes line.
